If you do the -cookie- by the book...

I'm afraid I can no longer gatekeep... It is time for me to reveal my ultimate cookie recipe to the world!

As someone who loves baking more than anything, perfecting my cookie recipe has been my pride and joy. It's a super easy recipe that doesn't take long to try out, and will definitely not disappoint! Honestly, this has secured me so many dates. Everyone suddenly is a "cookie tester," and once a hot guy tells you that, you might as well go trad.. (I'M JOKING.) Anyway, the dates were fun, and the praise was even better, so try it!!

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Baking time: 13-15 minutes

For about 26 cookies!!

Ingredients:

250g unsalted butter

220g brown sugar

130g white sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

370g flour

1 tsp baking powder

2 tsp salt

200g milk chocolate

200g dark chocolate

All should go well if you do the -cookie- by the book!

STEP 1

Preheat the oven at 180°C

STEP 2

Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Put it aside for now.

STEP 3

Melt the butter on the stove, and let it cool down. Mix the brown and white sugar together in a bowl. Add the cooled down butter to the sugar bowl and mix for about 1-2 minutes. Slowly add your eggs with the vanilla extract into the bowl. Mix for another 2 minutes.

STEP 4

Add your dry ingredients and mix it all together until it's formed into a dough. The dough shouldn't stick to your fingers if you touch it. If it does, then just add more flour until it's not sticky anymore.

STEP 5

Cut the chocolate into small pieces and add them to your dough. I much prefer using a wooden spoon or a spatula here, but that's just personal preference, as it won't change anything with your dough.

STEP 6

Roll the cookies into little balls and put them on a baking sheet; they will spread out in the oven. Let them bake for about 13-15 minutes. Like in the picture here:

STEP 7

Once taken out from the oven, the cookies must cool down at least another half hour before they're ready to eat. They need to harden

Once all of that is done, then, congrats, you've become a pro cookie baker! Enjoy!!

A little tip: if you store them in a box, you should add a piece of bread so that they won't get too hard over the next few days.
